Materials that do
a specific job

A filler is never just a filler, and an additive is never just a line on the recipe. Choose your industry to see the mineral grades and specialities we hold, and the producers behind them.

Cross-industry

Same material, different specification

Calcium carbonate appears in nine of our eleven industries — but a coating grade, a PVC grade and a feed grade are three different products with three different tolerances. The same is true of every speciality we sell.

  • Particle size distribution — top cut, d50 and fines content matched to your dispersion equipment and target rheology.
  • Surface treatment — stearate-coated or untreated, chosen for compatibility with your binder system.
  • Purity and colour — brightness, yellowness index and iron content where whiteness or glass melt behaviour matters.
  • Functional performance — for specialities, the number that matters is viscosity build, wetting, foam knock-down or flame class, not the assay.
  • Regulatory status — technical, food, feed or pharmaceutical grade, documented before you qualify.
Paint & Coatings

Opacity, matting, rheology

Extenders, engineered aluminium silicates and cristobalite, plus thickeners, dispersants and defoamers for the same formulation.

Plastics & Polymers

Stiffness, flame class, cost

Treated GCC, calcined kaolin and talc alongside ATH and magnesium hydroxide for compound, masterbatch and cable.

Building & Construction

Workability and water retention

Mineral aggregates and fillers with rheology modifiers and water-repellent additives for adhesives, renders and plasters.

Ceramics & Refractory

Thermal stability

Fused and tabular alumina, mullite, cordierite, chamotte, zircon, high alumina cement and binder systems.
