Imerys
The world's largest producer of industrial minerals and our longest-standing principal relationship. We have been the official agent and distributor for the Imerys carbonates and kaolins business since 2001, following the group's acquisition of BMP. The range covers everything from hydrous and calcined kaolins through ground and precipitated calcium carbonates to talc, mica, diatomite and perlite.

The Imerys range
20 grades across 9 applications. Filter by application or product group, or search by name and property. Samples can be requested for these grades, with certificate of analysis, safety data sheet and REACH status.

Alumina
Calcined aluminas for refractory, ceramic and technical applications.

Alumina Compounds
Alumina-based compounds and blends for refractory formulations.

Calcined Kaolin
An anhydrous aluminium silicate produced by heating ultrafine natural kaolin to high temperatures. Calcination increases whiteness and hardness and improves electrical properties.

Calcium Carbonate
Both treated and untreated Ground Calcium Carbonate (GCC), marble and chalk grades.

China Clay
Kaolin (china clay) is a hydrated aluminium silicate crystalline mineral, characterised by fine particle size, plate-like shape and chemical inertness.

Clay
Natural clays for ceramic, sealant and agricultural applications.

Diatomaceous Earth
A naturally occurring soft siliceous sedimentary rock, easily crumbled into a fine white powder with low density and high porosity.
SpecialityEngineered Aluminium Silicate
Imerys OpTiMat engineered aluminium silicates for deep matt decorative paint formulations.

Fused Silica
Used to make refractory shapes for high-temperature thermal processes including steelmaking, investment casting and glass manufacture.

Heavy & Light Kaolin
Heavy and light kaolin grades for food and feed applications.

High Alumina Cement
Calcium aluminate cements consisting predominantly of hydraulic calcium aluminates.

Kaolin
Kaolin (china clay) is a hydrated aluminium silicate crystalline mineral formed by the alteration of feldspathic rocks, with fine particle size, lamellar shape and chemical inertness.

Lightweight Chamotte
A low-density calcined clay aggregate for insulating refractories.

Metakaolin
A reactive pozzolan improving the strength and durability of cementitious systems.

Mica
A group of lamellar silicate minerals distinguished by high aspect ratio and elasticity, available in a wide range of particle sizes.

Molochite
Calcined china clay grog with high thermal stability, used in investment casting and technical ceramics.

Mullite
A silicate mineral with high temperature stability.

Perlite
Made from an amorphous alumino-silicate rock containing water, which expands into steam on heating to produce a foamed structure. Only select deposits have the right characteristics for expansion.

Talc
Talc is a platy magnesium silicate and the softest mineral on the Mohs scale, supplied in lamellar and microcrystalline grades.

Treated Clay
Surface-treated clays for agricultural, feed and technical applications.
